Plate

The quiet log.

A workout log stripped to its essence. No noise, no clutter, no accounts. Just your lifts, kept close. Less, by design.

Common questions

Where is my data stored? Entirely on your device. Your workout history never leaves your phone — there are no accounts and no servers.

How do I manage my subscription? From within Plate, or anytime in your iPhone's Settings under your Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancelling keeps your access until the period ends.

I switched phones — where are my workouts? Because data lives on the device, moving phones relies on your iPhone backup (iCloud or encrypted local backup) restoring the app's data. Your subscription itself restores automatically through your Apple ID.

Privacy Policy

Privacy, by absence.

Plate is built local-first. The most honest privacy policy is a short one, because we collect almost nothing.

What stays on your device

Every workout you log — exercises, sets, weights, dates — is stored only on your device. We have no account system, no login, and no servers that hold your training data. We cannot see your workouts, and neither can anyone else.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple and managed on our behalf by RevenueCat, a subscription infrastructure provider. When you subscribe, Apple and RevenueCat handle the transaction and tell Plate whether your subscription is active. This involves a non-identifying purchase record (an anonymous identifier and subscription status). We never receive your name, payment details, or card information — Apple keeps those.

Feedback you choose to send

If you use the in-app feedback form, the message you write is sent to our support email through a form-delivery service (Web3Forms) so we can read and reply. We only receive what you choose to type. If you don't use the form, nothing is sent.

What we don't do

Your control

Deleting the app removes the workout data stored on your device. To manage or cancel a subscription, use your Apple ID subscription settings. For any request or question about privacy, email support@plateapp.studio.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, we'll update this page and revise the date below.

Terms of Use

The agreement, in plain words.

By using Plate, you agree to these terms. They are short by design.

The app

Plate is a workout log provided to you on an "as is" basis. We work to keep it reliable, but we don't guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly accurate. You use it at your own discretion.

Your account and your data

Plate has no account system. Your workout data lives on your device. You are responsible for keeping your device backed up; we have no copy and cannot recover anything for you.

Subscriptions

Plate Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription billed through your Apple ID:

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The renewal charge is made within 24 hours before the period ends, at the same price unless we have given advance notice of a change.

If you cancel, you keep access for the remainder of the period you have paid for. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your iPhone's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Unused portions of a free trial are forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Refunds, when applicable, are handled by Apple in accordance with their policy.

Acceptable use

Don't attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the app. Don't use Plate for anything unlawful. We can suspend access to subscription features if these terms are seriously broken.

Intellectual property

The app, its design, the Plate name, and the bronze plate mark are ours. The workouts you log are yours.

No medical advice

Plate is a log, not a coach or a doctor. Nothing in the app constitutes medical, training, or nutritional advice. Consult a qualified professional before starting any exercise program.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Plate and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data or training records.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date below. Continued use of Plate after changes means you accept the updated terms.
